School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine Alumni Association Board

In April 2008 members of the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (SPHTM) Alumni Association Board voted to undertake a project to raise funds to establish an endowed scholarship for SPHTM students. Alumnae Board members Ann B. Metzinger and Sally T. Knight agreed to co-chair the project. Alumni Board members were approached first and a subsequent general appeal for donations was made. Over a period of time, donations were received from a variety of people, including Ann H. Byerly MPH ’83, Michael M. Christovich, Elaine R. Hicks MPH ’94, Lori A. Hoepner MPH ’95, Susan J. Griffey DrPH ’93, Penny Jessop MPH ’77, Sally T. Knight MPH ’65 DrPH "74, Marie-Antoinette Krousel-Wood MSPH ’91, F. Brobson Lutz MD ’74 MPH ’75, Ann B. Metzinger MPH ’74 DrPH ’80, Nancy Kay S. Wessman PMP ’89, and an anonymous donor.
