Dr. Samuel F. Boushy Scholarship Endowed Fund

The Dr. Samuel F. Boushy Scholarship Endowed Fund provides scholarship support to medical students in the Tulane University School of Medicine, or its successor. The scholarship shall be awarded to a student based upon financial need, as determined by the Tulane University School of Medicine – Office of Financial Aid; additionally, students are to be in good academic standing during their entire tenure as a recipient of the scholarship. The donor has a preference that the scholarship be awarded to an international student with a record of community service. It is the donor’s intent that awards from this scholarship be large enough to have significant financial impact on the recipients; therefore, with the current cost of attendance and anticipated endowment pay-out, the donor prefers that no more than two recipients be awarded each year. If, in the future, the payout is sufficient to support additional significant awards, more recipients may be selected. Tulane may modify or disregard any selection criteria if determined in whole or in part to be contrary to law or then existing university policy.
